Delete your account & data
This page lets you download a copy of your data and request permanent deletion of your Roomatos account.
What happens when you delete
- Your profile and matching preferences are scheduled for removal.
- Messages are unlinked from your identity and removed over time per our retention policy.
- We keep limited logs as required to detect abuse or meet legal obligations.
- If you sign back in during the grace period, you can cancel deletion.
Grace period: 14 days. During this time, you can reverse the deletion from your account.
Before you proceed
- Download a copy of your data (recommended).
- Review active conversations or unresolved issues.
- Confirm you understand deletion is permanent after the grace period.

Deleting your account removes your profile, preferences, and access to messages. This action canāt be undone after the 14-day grace period.
What gets deleted
- Profile, preferences, and matching signals
- Account identifiers and login associations
- Messages (removed or anonymized per policy)
- Non-essential device and analytics data
What may be retained
- Minimal logs required to comply with law and prevent abuse
- Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you

Deletion FAQ
Yes. You have 14 days to sign back in and cancel the deletion from your account settings.
They are removed or anonymized per our retention policy. Some metadata may be retained temporarily to prevent abuse.
The request is immediate; the permanent purge happens after the 14-day grace period.
